Paying with Afterpay

What is Afterpay?
Afterpay allows you to have your online HealthPost orders shipped to you as per normal and pay this order off over four installments interest free.

How can I pay with Afterpay?

You simply select 'Pay as you go - Afterpay' at the checkout as your payment method and press the place order button, you will then be redirected to the Afterpay website to complete your payment.

Do I need to register with Afterpay prior to making my first order with this payment method?

No, you simply need to choose Afterpay as your payment method at checkout and follow the prompts to set up an account.

On your first Afterpay payment:

You will be redirected to the Afterpay website where you will need to provide your card details to complete the transaction. Once your first Afterpay payment has been approved, you will have activated your Afterpay account by choosing a password. Your Afterpay account will be created and you will be able to make more purchases using Afterpay by simply entering your Afterpay login details next time you purchase from HealthPost using the Afterpay payment method.

Does Afterpay require me to fill out a credit application form?

No, because every Afterpay account is linked to your existing and nominated credit or debit card that has already been approved via the your chosen credit/banking provider.

Who can use Afterpay?

  • You can use Afterpay if you live in New Zealand or Australia, and you set up an account with the Afterpay website that matches your country of residence.
  • You need to be at least 18 years old
  • You are capable of entering into a legally binding contract.
  • You have a valid and verifiable email address and mobile number
  • You use a New Zealand or Australian credit or debit card to make a purchase.


Is AfterPay available for customers in Australia?

Yes, you will simply be directed to the AfterPay website for Australian-based customers to complete your payment, once you place your order.

What does Afterpay cost?

You pay your installments to Afterpay directly in accordance with the payment schedule, Afterpay will send you via email. You will not pay anything extra when you choose to use Afterpay as your payment option, as there is no interest added.

If a payment is due but not received by Afterpay in accordance with your payment schedule, a $10 late payment fee will be charged, with a further $7 late payment fee added seven days later if the payment remains unpaid. Late fees are capped by Afterpay at 25% of the value of the order.

In addition, because an Afterpay account is linked to your credit or debit card, standard card fees and charges may be applicable. You should refer to your card issuer’s terms and conditions for full details of these.

What HealthPost products can be paid for using Afterpay as the payment method?

Afterpay is available for all products online excluding e-Gift Cards and any items over $1,000.

Is there a minimum spend for Afterpay?

No, Afterpay is available on all order values up to $1,000 NZD

Is there a maximum spend for Afterpay?

Yes, the maximum order value (including delivery) for Afterpay is $1,000 NZD

When will my order be sent to me if I use Afterpay?

As soon as you have submitted your order and completed your payment process on the Afterpay your order will be processed by HealthPost as it normally would.

How will an Afterpay purchase or refund show on my debit or credit card statement?

The transactions will appear as AFTERPAY PTY LTD.

How will I know when I need to make my further three installments?

Upon placing an order with HealthPost using Afterpay as your payment method, you will be sent an email from Afterpay showing your payment schedule. You will also be notified by Afterpay prior to each payment being due.

What happens if I cannot or don’t pay any of my future installments but the order has been sent to me?

Because the payment relationship is between Afterpay and yourself, Afterpay will pursue you themselves for settlement of any debt owing. HealthPost has nothing to do with the debt owed. If you attempt to pay for any further HealthPost orders using Afterpay, your approval will be at Afterpay’s discretion.

Will I always be approved to use Afterpay?
No, you will be declined if you have too many outstanding orders with Afterpay. You will need to make some payments towards some of your previous Afterpay purchases (by logging into your Afterpay account and selecting “Pay Now”) before trying to make another purchase using Afterpay.

What happens if I return an item or items originally ordered using Afterpay as the payment method?

HealthPost will advise Afterpay to refund you the value of the returned item/s Afterpay will then cancel future payments owed for the customer and refund any payments they have made.

Can I return an order paid for using Afterpay?

Yes. If you've purchased a product you would like to return, you can return any item back to HealthPost for a refund within 30 days of purchase, as long as it is in a re-saleable condition (unopened, with undamaged packaging). Please refer to our returns FAQs for information on how to do this.
